WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO?
Born and raised in Austin, Texas. Was drafted into the Army for 22 years and then another 24 years as a contractor and civil service. Then started a hobby, creating writing pens for the past 10 years. Best job ever.
DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
Using wood, acrylic and “found” items i.e. wasp nest, alligator bone, deer antler, feathers, flowers combining those items into a pen “blank”. Then using a lath, sandpaper and polish to create a unique, one of a kind pen

I have parrots, a bearded dragon and grumpy dogs. And my family thinks I am a treasure trove of useless information.

WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD SHARE WITH OTHER ARTISTS + MAKERS?
Do not be afraid that you are going to make a mistake or “character flaw”. If possible they should be included in the final product. They make your product a unique, one of a kind creation.
I also create custom pens. It’s fun to hear your idea for a pen and create one that is unique to you that will be for personal use or a gift.
