WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO? My name is Olga Sanders. I am from Atlanta, Georgia and I draw, paint, and make pottery.
DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS. When I draw a subject I start with an image and I sketch it on archival paper. I then begin to shade and add values to make it as realistic as I feel it to be but still have something special in the finished product. Same with painting in watercolor. I begin with a good image, sketch it out on watercolor paper and paint. I enjoy doing detailed work in all my drawings and paintings. Making pottery is a long process. I do both hand building and throwing pottery on the wheel. I let it dry completely, fire it at low temperature, glaze it and then fire it again at a high temperature.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? I was adopted in 1999 from Russia.
