WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM, & WHAT DO YOU DO?
Hi, I’m Shelby Rice, the heart and hands behind Styles by Shelby. Born and raised in the North Augusta, SC area, I started this business in June 2021 during the pandemic. At the time, I was working full-time as an ICU nurse and searching for a creative outlet outside of the hospital walls.
DESCRIBE YOUR PROCESS.
What began as an experiment with polymer clay I discovered through TikTok quickly grew into a passion for designing jewelry and sharing joy through handmade art. Over time, Styles by Shelby has expanded beyond earrings and headbands to also include graphic t-shirts.

Styles by Shelby isn’t just about accessories or clothing; it’s about sharing light, sparking conversations, and reminding others that beauty and strength come from within.
FUN FACT ABOUT YOU.
When I’m not at local events, you’ll find me spending time with my family and friends, soaking up the sunshine with my dog Tobi, or recharging at the beach.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT DOWNTOWN AUGUSTA.
I love the history of downtown Augusta, but mostly the community it creates. I love its support of local small businesses and how the community shows up for us.
WHY DO YOU LOVE TO DESIGN, CREATE + MAKE?
Creating jewelry allows me to be creative while also making pieces that I love to wear and build a community of confident people through our accessories.
